{Easy Recipes} Salad inspired by Kefi's Greek Salad

Whenever we go out to eat, I like to try different dishes from the menu. But when it comes to one of our favorite neighborhood spots, Kefi, I always get the same thing: the Kefi Greek Salad.  It always tastes so fresh and is incredibly addictive.

 Last night I decided to try and make my favorite restaurant salad at home.  It was really simple and I was so excited when Jeff agreed my dish reminded him of Kefi's. Read on for the list of ingredients I used to make my new favorite salad.

{Travel} é by josé andrés (Las Vegas)

The best dinner and show in Vegas!

Jeff had never been to Las Vegas before, so when I had a work trip scheduled, I was delighted that he could join me. And since we always try to travel around food experiences, he researched and learned about é by josé andrés. This is an intimate restaurant within a restaurant (Jaleo) right on the strip in the Cosmopolitan hotel. The dinner was a wonderful display of creativity and for us, having never been to minibar by josé andrés, a fantastic example of molecular gastronomy.

Theatrics aside, the food tasted incredible. And the experience itself had that touch of magic.

{Food Events} I Heart Induction Event with Chefs Anne Burrell and Johnny Iuzzini

The tough part about attending food events is that I keep adding things to my ever-growing dream kitchen wishlist. A few nights ago, I went to the #iheartinduction launch event with comedic duo, Chefs Anne Burrell and Johnny Iuzzini.  They were knowledgeable and entertaining -  but the highlights were all the bells and whistles on the induction stove-top (at one pint Chef Iuzzini pressed a button and a screen rose up like a car window).  And of course, the food was pretty good too. {Easy Entertaining} NY Giants Dessert Table for Super Bowl XLVI

Can you tell which team we're cheering on this Super Bowl? We're ecstatic that our NY Giants are in the championship game! We'll be getting together with Jeff's family to watch the big game and indulge in many tasty Super Bowl snacks. In addition to my guacamole, I had to bring my festive helmet-shaped Jello shots as well as some Bailey's chocolate cupcakes. I made the cupcake toppers myself - my favorite one being Eli Manning's jersey.

Happy (belated) Chinese New Year! It's the Year of the Dragon and we've been fortunate to celebrate the Lunar New Year in both NYC and Las Vegas.  The Dragon has always been an auspicious sign so hopefully this will be a great year!
